Do you wish you could update your home but are short on funds? There are actually several things you can do to refresh your home while still sticking to a reasonable budget. Even if you can’t do a major overhaul and renovation, there are some small ways to spruce up your home. Read on for some ideas.

1. Add in a new walkway

Your driveway is probably the first thing guests will notice when they come over to your home. Think about adding in new walkways to provide your property with a fresh look. You can put in a new walkway with different designs, including aged brick, bordered herringbone, mosaic, and straight patterns, that create an inviting entryway to your home. There are probably many stone companies located near you that can do this task – try getting some quotes from a variety of businesses to make sure you’re getting the very best price (including factoring in both materials and labor).

2. Refresh your hardware

If you’d like to make some smaller changes (that’ll be even kinder to your wallet), consider changing out the hardware in your kitchen. This is a great step if you don’t have the funds to buy new appliances or cabinets for a completely new look. Head to more affordable stores like Home Depot or Lowes for hardware that you can snap up for a good price. You can mix up your metals too for a more unique look. (If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can also often find unique and cheap hardware at thrift stores or flea markets.)

3. Give your walls a new coat of paint

Painting your walls a new color can be a quick and easy way to spruce up your home (especially if you’ve had the same paint for a while). A fresh, bright color in one or more rooms can help create a better energy for your home. If you don’t want to spend money painting your whole house, consider just painting one statement wall. You can even do a crazy color or a patterned wallpaper and that one wall will instantly give the whole room some extra verve.

4. Change up your bedding and pillows

It can often be too pricey to buy all new furniture for your home. One easy way to spend less cash is to buy new pillows or throws for your living room and new bedding for your bedroom. You can pick new designs that will help brighten your home without you having to spend a ton of money. Lots of stores (such as Target or Home Goods) can help you find trendy options at affordable prices.
